Staff
Rev. Andy Young – Minister, Elder & Trustee
Andy moved to Oxford with his family in 2018 to plant Oxford Pres. He is married with four children and enjoys spending time with his family, reading, good coffee and hanging out with anyone who can bear his company. A jack-of-all sports and master of none, Andy has been consistently overlooked for selection for the Welsh National Rugby team. He is a sinner saved by the grace of God in Jesus Christ.
Robin Price – Women’s Worker
Robin was born and raised in the southeast United States and spent several years as a teacher before devoting her life to ministry. Prior to arriving in Oxford in March 2021, she served as a missionary in Odesa, Ukraine with Mission to the World (MTW). Robin has a passion for God’s Word and loves studying the Bible with others. She takes great joy in providing fellowship opportunities for the women at Oxford Pres and in walking alongside her sisters in Christ, encouraging them on their journey through scripture and prayer.
Rev. Dr. Neil Martin – Associate Minister, Elder & Chair of Trustees (Part time)
Neil and his family moved to Oxford in 2014 where he completed his doctorate in New Testament in 2019. In his 20s and 30s he suffered a long period of debilitating illness and his experience of God’s reality and indispensability in that time still drives his passion for gospel ministry, especially among students. Neil now serves as Research Associate in New Testament at Keble College and directs a ministry called B-Less mobilising Christian graduate students to support and reach out to undergraduates. Neil is married to Ruth and they have 4 children and a very furry dog. He enjoys drawing things, making things, and playing guitars of all kinds.
Davinia Young – Children’s and Families’ Worker (Part time)
Davinia is married to Andy and has the joy of raising 4 daughters. She delights in sharing her life with them all, whilst also stealing some intentional moments to read and escape into the countryside with her dog. She loves to read and study the Bible and share life with women and families, lingering over how we can all live and grow more in his likeness and truth.
Gareth Dicks – Assistant Minister
Gareth was born and bred in Oxford and loves being a part of Oxford Pres! Having studied Sound technology at Oxford Brookes, he trained for ordained ministry and served as an Anglican minister for nearly a decade. Since leaving the Anglican Church, Gareth officially became a Presbyterian minister in 2024 and joined the team at Oxford Pres in July 2025. Gareth enjoys reading theology books, going for long walks in the countryside and following his beloved football team Aston Villa.
Ruth Martin – Administrator & Safeguarding Coordinator (Part time)
Ruth grew up in Africa and, before having children, worked as a specialist nurse in London. She is married to Neil and together they have experienced God’s faithfulness through periods of illness and loss. They have 4 wonderful children, and a very friendly dog. Ruth enjoys family walking holidays, baking, and spending time with others over a cup of tea.
Herald Gandi – Director of Operations
Herald was born and raised in South India before moving to the United States for university and seminary. In 2021, he moved with his wife and daughter to Oxford to pursue a DPhil in Old Testament, where they enjoyed being part of Oxford Pres. After a season leading a school in the U.S., the family is delighted to return to Oxford, where Herald now serves as Director of Operations at Oxford Pres. He played cricket in his DPhil days and is quietly considering a return, though perhaps not to the same form.
Elders
In addition to Andy and Neil:
Tom Hutchings – Elder & Trustee
Tom is Chaplain of a boarding school in the Cotswolds. Before moving to Oxfordshire, he served in ordained ministry in the Midlands and central Cambridge. He is married to Andria with whom he has four children. Working at a small school means he’s willing to have a go at most things, which has led (among other things) to some very bad sporting experiences (for all concerned).
Trustees
In addition to Andy, David, Neil, and Tom:
James Horgan – Trustee
James can’t quite believe he’s just moved to Oxford. He was involved in the first EPCEW church plant there nearly 30 years ago. He is married with one daughter. He is a qualified patent attorney and works for a large pharmaceutical company. His hobbies include classical music, reading, modelling, board games and seeking the growth of faithful Presbyterian churches in England and worldwide.
Interns
Gabby Claude – Intern
Gabby is a French native, London raised, who moved to Oxford to study Music as an undergraduate. She has been an active member of Oxford Pres for the past three years. As a creative at heart, you will often find her dancing, songwriting and stewarding her love for Jesus.
Jonathan Clark – Intern
Born and raised in Manchester, Jonathan came to Oxford in 2022 to study history. He went to Oxford Pres on his first Sunday in the city and hasn’t looked back! Jonathan is excited to be working for the church, encouraging students in their faith and looking to reach out to people with the good news of Jesus Christ. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys hanging with out his friends, chatting about all things history, politics and theology related.
